Accounts receivable aging
A report that groups unpaid customer invoices by age, showing who owes money and how long each balance has been outstanding.
The report lists customer names, invoice numbers, amounts, and age buckets, often current and then past-due ranges in 30-day steps. The report total should agree with accounts receivable on the balance sheet.
The data supports collections follow-up. It also shows when cash is likely to come in, which feeds a cash forecast. The aging also helps in estimating amounts that may not be collected.
Lenders often request this report alongside the financial statements. A related accounts payable aging report uses the same structure to track bills your business owes.
