Last updated: July 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gevity LLC, doing business as Gevity Advisors ("Gevity," "we," or "us"), a Virginia limited liability company, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our website and the Gevity Score diagnostic tool (the "Site"). It does not govern data we handle inside a signed client engagement, which is addressed in the engagement agreement, our Data Processing & Security Addendum, and, where applicable, a Business Associate Agreement.
// 1. Our Confidentiality Stance
Client information is handled under professional confidentiality obligations that apply to CPA practice. In a client engagement, your financial records are used only to perform the engagement, are shared only with service providers bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and are never sold or shared with advertisers. Where we research industry-level or general information using external tools, we work with information that does not identify you or disclose your figures, names, or account data. These practices describe how we operate and are not a guarantee against all security incidents.
// 2. Information We Collect on This Site
We collect only what you voluntarily provide, plus limited technical data your browser sends:
- Contact form: your name, email address, business name, approximate revenue range, and the contents of your message.
- Gevity Score diagnostic: your answers to five high-level questions about your business's financial situation and stage. The diagnostic does not require a login and does not ask for your company name or detailed financials.
- Technical data: standard server-log and device information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed), and any cookies or analytics described in Section 6.
// 3. How We Use Information
We use the information to respond to inquiries and schedule consultations; to generate and improve the Gevity Score; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; and, where you have asked to hear from us, to send occasional communications (each of which includes an unsubscribe option). We do not use the information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
// 4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We disclose it only to service providers that help us operate the Site and deliver our services (such as email delivery and website hosting), bound to protect it and use it only to provide their services, or where required by law or valid legal process.
// 5. Legal Framework & Your Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have rights over your personal information, including to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of it, and to opt out of certain processing. Virginia residents have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), including the right to appeal a refusal to act on a request; California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; and visitors in the EU/UK may have rights under the GDPR. To exercise a right, contact us using Section 8; we will verify and respond within the timeframe applicable law requires. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our response.
// 6. Cookies, Retention & Security

We keep contact-form and diagnostic data only as long as needed for the purposes described here and to meet our legal and professional-records obligations, then delete or de-identify it. Security. We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards reasonable and appropriate to the sensitivity of the information; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not guarantee absolute security.
// 7. Children & Changes
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
